Use the Galata Tower express elevator to go up to the 7th floor, then climb a short flight of stairs to reach the 9th-floor observation deck. The elevator takes you most of the way, making the climb manageable and well worth it for the stunning panoramic views at the top.

The observation deck is approximately 52 meters above ground level. This height provides a stunning vantage point to see the city and its surrounding landmarks.
Every direction offers incredible views, but the east-facing side is particularly popular as it provides a clear view of the Bosphorus, the Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. The west side also offers a charming perspective of the old city.
The best time to visit is during the golden hour—early morning or late afternoon—when the sunlight casts a warm glow over the city. Evening visits also provide magical views of Istanbul’s illuminated skyline.
On a clear day, you can see up to 30 kilometers from the observation deck. The view stretches across the Bosphorus Strait, the Golden Horn, and iconic landmarks like the Blue Mosque and the Maiden’s Tower.
